The untreated steel encasement will decay but its form will extend the memory of the life & death of the oak tree within, long after the last piece of timber returns to the soil. The stainless steel leaves are shaped to collect water & leafmould to create sites for hover flies to lay their eggs. Commissioned by The Common Space for Sandown Willow Walk.
